Marketing Manager, QEII Centre
Roopi has looked after the marketing activities of iconic London events venue the QEII Centre since April 2014. Creative and animated, she was instrumental in bringing to life the centre’s ambitious £12 million rebranding project in late 2014, which saw the venue transformed into a more contemporary and future-proofed destination for all sorts of events, including exhibitions, product launches, fashion shows, award dinners and other F&B led occasions.
Her flair for event theming and passion for experiential theming has seen her mastermind large-scale installations within the centre that have transformed rooms into everything from a pop-up circus tent complete with Victoria strongmen to a secret garden full of blossom trees, and a 1950s drive-thru cinema to a Cuban themed salsa club with feather-clad dancers.
Roopi’s past roles have seen her work in brand management for the healthcare division of i2i events, and in marketing for humanitarian aid conference AIDF and Climate Action at Green Media. She has also worked on the Powerboat P1 World Championship and Superstock Championship motorsport racing series.
