Founder, The MICE Blog
Irina Trofimovskaya founded The MICE Blog in 2011 as a way of connecting with the global online community of event planners and to showcase the work done within this sector. It offers corporate event planners a platform to learn about MICE destinations, venues and shares industry updates from major industry events. Having lived in Russia, Israel, Switzerland, Germany and the UK, her blog has an international focus and she works collaboratively with event planners, agencies, venues, Convention Bureaux, small to medium sized enterprises (SMES), destination management companies (DMCs), exhibition organisers and PR consultancies to showcase the creativity of this vibrant community.
In 2014 she founded the #EventPlannersTalk Twitter chat and one year later the #EventPlannersTalk live event series for the global events industry. The Twitter chat takes place weekly every Monday 9-10pm GMT, and for an hour focuses on one industry topic. To date over 100 chats took place, focusing on topics ranging from innovation, sustainability, education and personal development, event technology and the MICE industry. By combining both, the Twitter chat and live events, the aim of #EventPlannersTalk is to connect the online and offline communities, extend event life cycle and be a source of continuing education for event professionals.
