Hire Space Awards FAQ’s

Who can enter the awards?
The Hire Space Awards are open to Venues listed with Hire Space, as well as professional event organisers from across the industry. The venue award categories will celebrate modern venue marketing and sales, excellency in customer service and venues that are forward thinking, paving the way for the future of the venue and events world. The event organiser award categories are an opportunity for professional event teams to be rewarded for exceptional event delivery and gain industry wide recognition for their work.

Is there a fee for entering the Hire Space Awards?
There is no fee for entering the Hire Space Awards. Should your organisation be one of the 5 shortlisted organisations per award category, you will be invited to book tickets for attending the Hire Space Awards ceremony on the evening of October 24th. Tickets are priced at £200 (discounted rates apply to group bookings). Ticket pricing includes welcome drink, 3 course evening meal and entertainment.

How do I enter?
After selecting the category you wish to enter on the EventLAB website, you will be asked to complete an entry form and a brief paragraph submission (200-500 words depending on the category chosen). This is stage one of the submission process. Should your entry be shortlisted, you will be contacted (from 23rd August) to make your full submission (max. 1000 words plus up to 3 supporting documents i.e. adverts, flyers, photos, testimonials).

How will my entry be shortlisted?
The venue award category entries will be shortlisted by Hire Space venue metrics, historical booking information, venue expert information, and a 6 week “turbo period” from the moment the awards are open through to Wednesday 23rd August. The turbo period is an opportunity to boost your metrics and be in with a stronger chance of making the shortlist! Upon entering, we’ll provide you with tips and guidance on the turbo period.

How long do I have to enter?
Deadline for initial entries (stage 1) is 5pm on Tuesday 25th July. Should you be shortlisted, you will have approximately 1 month to make your full submission (stage 2). The deadline for full submissions is 5pm on Friday 22nd Sept.

Can I enter for more than 1 award category?
You may enter for as many categories as you see appropriate. However, please note that individual entries must be made for each category and should you be shortlisted, you will be required to complete a full submission (1000 words plus supporting documents) for each category submission. We recommend only entering the categories you believe to be most appropriate to you.

Who will be judging the Hire Space Awards?
Those shortlisted will be submitted to the judging panel. Hire Space Awards judges will be a cross-section of the industry’s most experienced, most influential, most innovative and most distinguished. The full judging panel will be released to the public in due course.

Are there opportunities to become a Sponsor of the Hire Space Awards?
There are various opportunities to get involved as a Hire Space Awards official sponsor. We have tailored sponsorship packages available from drinks sponsorship and table decoration, through to award category sponsorship and headline event sponsorship. When and where will the Hire Space Awards ceremony take place?
The Hire Space Awards 2017 will take place from 7:30pm on October 24th at the exclusive Landing Forty Two at the Leadenhall Building, with breathtaking views across the City of London.

What does the evening include?
Join us from 7:30pm for a drinks reception, followed by a 3 course meal and evening entertainment. Relax with your colleagues and connections, network with industry leaders and innovators, and perhaps most importantly enjoy an evening of fun and celebration!

What’s the dress code?
Think “dress to impress” but please don’t stress!

How do I book a place to attend the awards?

Make sure to spread the word with colleagues as we’ll be offering a discounted tickets for any multiple bookings!

Is there a minimum age requirement to enter the event?
You need to be over 18 to attend.
