Andy Dougan’s twenty year career in marketing communications began in 1996 when he realised that being a member of a touring rock band, was likely to be a short-lived career and was drawn towards the creative nature of the agency world. Since then he has led experiential for some of the world’s leading brands including: BMW Group, Jumeirah, Emirates Airlines, PepsiCo & Microsoft.
In June 2016, he returned to join Geometry Global UK, flagship agency of WPP’s global brand activation network, as Head of Experiential and Growth and part of the UK management team. The brand activation shop, with retail at its core, is anchored in Pivotal Ideas – ideas specifically created to shape and influence purchase behaviour. It is delivering game changing, effective communications strategies for iconic global and much loved local brands including GSK, HSBC, Emirates, Philips, Visa & Royal British Legion.
Prior to Geometry, Andy led ENERGY to become one of the UK’s top performing brand experience agencies building business growth for brands including TJX Europe, Avis and Rolls Royce Motor Cars. He has held senior management positions at Joshua/G2, EuroRSCG KLP, Iris Worldwide, Elvis and OgilvyOne Dubai. He has driven growth by building teams and entrepreneurial cultures, leading EMEA channel/retail activity, and creating effective integrated marketing solutions.
